After undergoing a major rebranding, world-leading food and beverage company, Suntory, was looking to update their office to match the bold flavours of their new company image.
The Brief
Suntory, a global food and beverage company, recently underwent an exciting rebranding journey, only to realise that their current office space didn’t quite reflect their new identity. Like many modern businesses, they also found themselves faced with the post-lockdown challenge: encouraging their teams back into the office. At the time, their existing workplace simply failed to align with the hybrid and agile work culture they aspired to foster.
In search of a solution that would embody their brand and values, their team turned to our office fit out specialists. With three decades of expertise in creating adaptable workspaces for esteemed brands in the area, our mission was clear: deliver a full office refit that not only reflected the company’s reinvigorated image but also suited a new agile working style.
The Solution
During their initial consultation, we challenged Suntory’s existing traditional office set up, suggesting a fresh approach to their office fit out. Recognising the value of collaboration and agile working for our client, our designers suggested introducing multiple work areas for their teams.
We delved into the intricacies of their business to determine the ideal interior solution. This particular workspace was a factory office, with team members frequently visiting the shop floor and therefore requiring full PPE equipment – something we needed to consider when planning their office design.
“To encourage staff back into the office, something needed to change. Suntory’s recent rebranding was the perfect opportunity to reassess how they approach their workplace. Looking at their employees’ patterns and preferences, we believed the team would significantly benefit from an office configuration that supports agile work styles.”

What About Agile Working?
Our office designs communicated a new agile configuration that supported a post-pandemic work model. Recognising the changing needs of their team meetings, we prioritised effective spaces for employees to step away from their desks from time to time, to take video calls without major interruptions or creating distractions for others.
With multiple work areas available, including desking areas, acoustic booths, informal and formal meeting rooms and breakout spaces, we needed to optimise space. One method was to conceal storage within the central agile workspace. This storage was used to divide work areas but also ensured easy accessibility for employees.
Pave the Way
We introduced a unique floor solution to improve wayfinding. Using different types of commercial flooring, we strategically zoned the agile workplace and created subtle navigation throughout the office.
Rebranding the Office
With their recent company rebranding, incorporating this throughout their office fit out was important to our client. We subtly introduced their new brand identity through thoughtful colour, fabric and texture.
